I am trying to install a dvd burner do that I can back up my classic dvds before they become too scratched. I've downloaded Windows Media Player 10, but it still will not play my dvds. What do I need to do to get this accomplished? Please Help

If you want to watch DVD's, you need a DVD player software.
I'm not sure, but you might be able to play, them with Media player if you change the properties. The easiest thing would be to install
VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Now if you want to copy Dvd's, & they are encrypted, you will not be able to just copy them.
Fab dvd decrypter will allow you to burn DVD's with encryption.
DVD43 is free, & will break the encryption, which will then allow you to burn the dvd.
UK MP's are thieving scumbags.
EU members are worse.

VLC works well but if you'd prefer to use Windows Media Player, you'll need to install a codec pack. Either of these will work:
