Comment:

How to put XP pro into hibernation by a command line or by a 3rd party software? Why shutdown.exe and usrshuta.exe can not do this?

I know the automatic way set in the power management setting, but how to trig it except by time?

When you select Start-Shutdown, hold the "Shift" key down and Standby will change to Hibernate. Then click on it.
