I am having great difficulty getting rid of a my search toolbar at the top and bottom of IE. It is from Lop.com. I keep uninstalling it but it keeps coming back. I don't know why.I have Spyblaster which dosen't stop it from appearing but it does disable it, but it also stops you from uninstalling it! I have to disable it to run the uninstall from the help page of lop. But it keeps coming back. Has anyone any idea of how to find out how I got it and how to remove it permanently?

hi there, sounds to me like its not actually uninstalling, try the following:

disable system restore by right cliking on my conputer i think it is and selecting properties.

then uninstall the same way you have been doing.

go to www.lavasoftusa.com and download ad-aware se. and update with the new refs file.

then do a full system scan with it, if this picks some up, also go to : http://housecall.trendmicro.com and do a free virus scan, this will check it for viruses and trojans.

hope this helps
