How To Get Rid of Dual Boot ??

Installed XP on machine that previously had 98 on it. Even though 98 was wiped at startup I still get acountdown of 30 seconds asking which operating system I want to use. How do I stop this happening?
Go to start/settings/control panel or programs/control panel. Double Click on the System Icon.
Go to the Advanced Tab, click on the Settings box at the bottom next to Startup and Recovery. Uncheck the first box that says Time to display OS. Click apply and then ok.
It wont cause any issues if the line remains in the boot.ini file but if you want to remove it. Go to start/run and type in "msconfig" without the quotes. Click on the Boot.Ini tab and you can remove it from there.

I have the same problem but I kept windows 98. How do I get rid of the xp on the dual boot since if I am not ready It will try sto start xp without success. I have to restart again and be ready to select 98. This is annoying
