How to get an image preview in Explorer?

Hello,
Can ANYONE help?
I would like to make the Windows Explorer display the small previews or thumbnails of images alongside the file whenever they are clicked. Just like in Windows ME - I could have the view set to "details" and I would click on an image file, and a small preview of the image would display next to the file. It didn't open into another Window. It just showed a simple preview/thumbnail of the image. I have tried virtually every option that I can think of, and so far I get either a detailed list of all the files, or EVERYT file shows up as an image.

exit out of the folders menu on the right of explorer, at the bottom you will see the heading details this is where thumbnails are previewed, you can compress the other headings such as file and folder tasks to get the details heading higher up.

I do not understand what you're talking about. When I am in Explorer, there is a status bar along the bottom of the screen that shows the file type, size, and dimensions. There is nothing in the Explorer Window on my system which indicates headings or details. Also, what are the file and folder tasks and how would I go about compressing them?

Be sure you're looking at your folders as a web page
