How to Format HD with windows xp

Hey all i got windows xp the other day and installed it. It took up quite a bit of room. I want to format my HD because i havent formated in like 4 yrs so i want to get all the other stuff off my HD. I cant figure out how to shutdown to dos or whatever to format any help will be greatful. Thanks

right click my computer > manage > disk managment, if you want to format the whole disk including XP, use the bootable XP cd and you'll get to a blue screen that allows you to delete/format partitions/disks.

OK, BUT OTHER FORM IS: USE YOUR DISKETTE INI (BOOTABLE) OF WIN 98 OR ME, MARK: WITH CD COMPATIBLE. WRITE: "C:" , ENTER AND FOR LAST WRITE: "FORMAT C:" AND ENTER. BUT REMEMBER: YOU NEED A INSTALL WINDOWS XP CD, IF YOU HAVEN'T, YOU HAVE INSTALL WIN 98 OR ME FIRST AND LATER UPDATE TO WINDOWS XP.
Summary: I formatted my drive c with windows xp, and will use that method again if i need to reformat and reinstall. It was very easy, I just had to boot to the cd, a list of options comes up and one of the op...
