how to find ip address

I have a zone alarm alert "detected a new network with ip..." couldn't find anything in zone alarm also, whois sez no such ip...how do i check this out. also, it gives 2 selections: "internet zone" and "trusted zone" - not sure i'd want it in either. thanks ahead

You will find it in Firewall > Zones in Zone Alarm.
If the IP address is 192.168.xx.xx then that is you LAN address and should go in the Trusted Zone if you want to do any files sharing across the LAN.
If it is the IP address allocated by your ISP then it goes in the Internet Zone which restricts file sharing and other things.
It has to go in one or the other. The only other option is blocked then nothing happens.
There's a lot of ifs there. If I knew how you are connected to the Internet I could give you a definitive answer.

That is the LAN address. That belongs in the Trusted Zone as described above.
From that information I imagine you are working through a router but 192.168.100.0 is an unusual address for a router to be providing. Need more information.
You can find your Internet IP address by looking at the top of the page when you post a message on this forum.
