How to expand system partition on server?

Powerquest Partitionmagic 6.0 .

Specs: Windows XP
I have a hard disk split into two partitions: C and D. The D partition has some unused space. I want to add this unused space to extend system partition (the C: partition) so that my server can run normally.
I am too concerned about the price of the software I am trying to avoid reloading the os to get more room on the C drive. Which product is the best choice?

hello cengH,

now got so many software we can use to manage our harddisk space beside Disk Management snap-in in Windows.

you can chose to use :

1. Acronis Disk Director Suite
2. - free disk manager.

or you can search via google. i prefer use patition magic. most usefull for disk management.

If it were me I would not use any partitioning tool on an operating system drive unless I had a complete clone backup in case the partitioning goes awry.

These forums are riddled with posts about partitioning gone wrong. I suggest you buy a large drive, Clone your C partition.
Test the clone, then if you still want to make your C drive larger do it to the cloned drive.

You posted in the XP Forum yet you mention Windows Server OS. What OS are you running?
