i having a problem in deepfreeze BSOD.i want to remove the registry of deepfreeze.
im booting from a USB portable xp. and i want to edit the registry in "C:\Documents and Settings\administrator\NTUSER.DAT"

Anyone think of a way to gain access to the registry keys in the file ? sorry for my english. thanks...

I suggest you boot into Windows Safe mode as administrator and then use the uninstaller in Deepfreeze, if one exists.

If you have already removed the program then try running a registry cleaner.

Editing the registry manually is iffy at best. Many entries related to a program may not be readily apparent.

Further to the above post, ntuser.dat is not a file but a hive that contains registry subkeys.

Curious care to share with us what led you to believe you could correct Deepfreeze BSOD by editing ntuser.dat?

thanks for the info:) windows safemode doesnt work. the computer keep restarting.

i want to remove the registry of deepfreeze so that it wont load the Deep Freeze driver (DeepFrz or DepFrzLo).
