In the D:\ drive i have only some video clips and mp3's. Now i want to install DEEPFREEZE in c:\ Drive, and i want to ask if it is possible to divide C: drive to make another partition. If it is possible does windows still works? How can i made this help plz??

Considering what a paid partitioning utility will cost you & how relatively inexpensive HDDs have become these days, it would be more cost effective to just get a separate HDD altogether, rather than mucking around with the conservative 50GB drive space currently allocated to your C: drive.

Alternatively, you could also use a free tool like GParted if you still prefer to go ahead with your partitioning crash course.

I can only agree with orbital. I am a happy Acronis customer and can say that Disk Director is the program you need. It will divide your partition without any data loss. I'm sure you'll enjoy Acronis.

I am not flaming you or question your intelligent but you are asking a pretty basic question. Yet you are about install DEEPFREEZE which on reading there homepage like a pretty sophisticated program with a lot of control over your computer.

I would hate to see you install this program and then lost control of your computer because you were not computer literate enough to know what the answer to a question it asks you.

I am sure you have a good reason for wanting this program but I would look into using this program a little more before installing it.

One other point no matter how well any particular program works for someone else anytime you start messing around with the partition on you computer you are taking a chance that some thing will go wrong so please be aware of this.

Do you think you are computer literate enough to re-build your whole system if it go badly?
Do have the original WinXp disk so that you could reload if you had to?
Do you have backups of all you important data?

the software in question costs $49.99

for less money you get bigger hard drives than the one you're using now :-)

WELL you download a 11.95 program that will remove all/any partitions without messing with any files, then you can reset your partitions if you want them (I don't know why) so go here wreckdisk.com

Hi, I only want to add that every modification of system partition needs great care. Disk Director is surely a good utility which I also use. But you'd better back up your system partition just in case. Personally I use Acronis as well for backup purpose but there is a huge amount programs of this kind.
