It may also be in your autoexec.bat file. Just delete shutdown.exe line

-delleting a line from autoexec.bat: open with notepad select the line u want to del and press delete, than save & exit. -disable shutdown screen: goto bios and see if acpi is turned on, if u installed xp with acpi off u sould turn it on and reinstall xp, win me work just fine.
