how to disable standby mode in xp pro sp2

Specs: Windows XP Pro SP2, 2.20GHz / 1GB
I have found several places in which there are boxes to check or uncheck that are supposed to stop the computer from going into standby.. ie: control panel -> power options.. I have it on the first tab (Power Schemes): Power Scheme - "Always On", and the settings for that power scheme of Always On: Turn off monitor - NEVER, Turn off hard disks - NEVER and System Standby - NEVER, as well as on the third tab(Hibernation): I have unchecked the box that says 'Enable Hibernation". Also, most of the devices in the device manager seem to have a box to check to enable the device to bring out of hibernation.. I have unchecked all of those as well.. also, in Setup (where the CMOS, BIOS, etc.. settings are), I have disabled hibernation/standby completely.. yet I keep finding my computer in standby!

Is there a place that is like the base(not sure if "base" is exact word) of the function that might be found in a single place that can be disabled to where the computer cannot be purposely or accidentally put into standby mode?

Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated..

Are you certain you don't have your screensaver set to "Blank" ?
Is this a laptop or desktop system?
