I would like to disable some of the programs that are under startup when I use msconfig. The problem though, is that when I uncheck the boxes, I restart the computer and they are checked again. After unchecking the boxes I click appply and then close, and then restart, but they are checked again after it starts up. Any ideas?

What are these programs you are trying to disable? If it is spyware/adaware there will other components that will continue to reactivate them.

scott890, I suggest that you update your virus definitions and run a full virus scan as it looks like yiur computer is infected with a virus or trojan. If you do a google search for those file names you'll see that the first 3 are virus/trojan related. I didn't check the cAppp.exe file name out.

Actually I don't have any antivirus program, they all seem to slow down my computer when I'm surfing the net. Is there a way to manually remove them?

scott890, "Actually I don't have any antivirus program". You're going to have huge problems without an AV Ptogram on your computer as you're now having. You may want to run the Free on-line "Housecall" virus scan at the link below if you're computer isn't too messed up to run it.
