how to delete a program on closing windows xp

February 9, 2011 at 01:19:18
Specs: windows xp
I deleted a weather program, months ago. The problem is when I close windows down I get this
box that says .net-broadcasteventwindow 1.0.5000.0.6c0. I click on cancel and the computer shuts down fine. I have tried to find this in add/remove programs. Not certain what the name of the program is but nothing I find appears to be connected. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Have you looked in scheduled tasks?

If you google your message only a few hits but all suggest .net issue. So might need to uninstall and reinstall all the .net frameworks on your machine - but just a suggestion, I have no idea what's causing that message.

it should be a leftover entry that remained while uninstalling a software. run a registry cleaner, if it dosent work u need to find the entry in the registry and delete
