how to delete a picture

Hi my son used a picture saved on my pc for his desktop background and now I have to see every my pc starts up and shuts down plz help me to remove this pic at startup and shut down

Open the Registry and go to this Key:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
In the right pane, you'll see "Wallpaper" Double-click on it, and remove the entry. Then click OK and close the Registry. It's that simple.

If it's just a wallpaper issue then simply right click on an empty space on the desktop, click Properties, then click the Desktop tab and in the large window below the word Background: choose the pic that you want as a background (wallpaper). The click OK.
Software gives me a headache.

It's not the background wallpaper that the OP is referencing. It's the startup/shutdown wallpaper.
