.cda? I thought these were just shortcuts to music files on a cd.
To convert an mp3 to wav or wav to mp3 you need "conversion" software. Heres one [cdex] Search google or your favorite download site for more.

ShutMe... is perfectly correct. .cda files are basically the shortcut to audio files on an audio CD. You can't do anything with them. What you need to do is rip them to .wav or .mp3 format.

Nero (www.ahead.com) will allow you to burn files into music files. It also has a tool box feature that allows you to cut bits off, change speed and other tricks.

Just use the built in windows media player, put in the cd, and click copy from cd. It will copy them to hard drive as mp3, wma, or wav whichever you choose.
