Today when I swithched on my laptop, the display screen size is reduced to 600 by 480 pixels from 800 by 600 pixels(which was earlier). I tried it to change from SETTINGS - SCREEN AREA - dragged the arrow to 800 by 600 - OK . But no result. And I even tried to change the monitor 's refresh frequency but i didn't found any options there except ' use default hardware configuration' . Please help me.

1.In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab. 2.Click the Advanced button. 3.Click the Adapter tab, and then click the List all modes button. 4.Select the resolution, color depth, and refresh rate that you want and click OK.

Sounds like you need to reinstall your video drivers. Check Device manager to see if your drivers are ok. Right click your video display and choose properties, the choose update driver.
