how to cancel a norton ghost 2003 process

June 28, 2011 at 19:15:29
Specs: Windows 7
The ghost image process is hung and will not reboot to the HD; it continues to boot to the ghost step that wants me to select 1)run the ghost dos operation or 2) proceed to windows
No matter what I select, the system freezes and does neither of the actions it offers; just a C:\ prompt-less screen that does nothing.
I do not know how to get the machine to boot now (sigh)
I've selected different boot orders for the dvd rom and HD but it always sticks at this same point.
I no longer have a pc as long as this happens.

I'd try to restore the windows mbr.

Be sure to make a bartsPE or ubcd4win cd or a linux live cd for your disaster proofing.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
