Hi all techies
I want to know that is there any program/utility out there that can able me to download large file from net into parts e.g. 11 mb file download in 3 parts or 2 parts 5 each. coz I have restricted access from my services provider that I'm not able to download file more than 10 mb.
so I'll break it through some software and then download it . ;)

any help would be appreciated
thanks and Regards

You can't split a file until it's been downloaded. Are you talking about a file you're trying to get through email? If so, have the sender zip the file, and that should decrease it enough that it's within the limitations set by your ISP.

also im not sure if it will work but if you download internet download manager (you can get it from www.download.com) then it breaks files down into smaller chunks and puts them back together itself when its done. tho im not sure if that would work cos it seems to download like the file is just one, just faster.

Hello Shoman. I'm not sure if this will be of any help to you, but this utility works great for sending large files; up to 1 GB in size. And, it is free to use.
My ISP, Comcast, also puts size limits; and I was trying to e-mail large files, large photos and songs, to my nephew through Outlook Express. I could never send large files through it.
That "you-send-it" works fantastic for sending large files, and it is so damn easy.
Note though, that if you do send someone some files, to notify the recipient beforehand that you are sending something. This is because of the wording the recipient recieves in their e-mail.....it will say something like...."you have a file from you-send-it."
The recipient might think this is spam, and delete it before knowing what it is, so just tell the person that you are sending something. Hope this helps a little!

hi there
thanks for the replies techies.
what I tried to say that my service provider is restricted and implemeted policy on server that I cannot download 10 mb or more than 10 mb file.so I asked that if there is any utility that can download file in chunks but not at the same time as download Accelerator do.

thanks for the good link tommyo but If this site support to send file direct from net to email address than it will be more fine with me ;)
thanks and regards
