how to back up data??

i have a laptop with win xp on it...i want to format it ..and install win2k...but before this i would want to back up my data..i do not have a cd writer to write cds else i wudv done that..i need a way to back up my data as i dont want to loose it...is there any way i can do so...??? please do let me know if anyone has any suggestions...thanks

you are going to have to attach some type of media to it and copy the files. it can be an external CDR-W, a ZIP drive, etc. it is either that or e-mail it to yourself and dl oyur e-0mail afterwords but, it is it alot of data that is not really practical. DO you have access to a network that you can attach to and coipy the files to a NW directory ?
