Presently, after plugging my USB device into my USB port, my XP Pro won't be able to auto detect the device. I need to reboot my PC then it will detect the USB device.

Any ideas how to rectify this?

Tks
George

You are suppose to give computer and its hardware info. so a person can help.

So try looking here:

Go to this web page:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;kbinfo

Then next to "Select a Microsoft Product", find and click Windows XP.

Then below that, type in what problem you are having (in one or more words).
eg.: usb

Then next to "Results Limit" select 50 or more.
Then click the green GO button.
