Hi,
Thanks for your advice.
However in my case I could not locate the "ADD" button.
In Win98 and ME all the same when you
- right click the bottom bar
- select "Properties"
- select "Start Menu"
- select "Customize"
- select "Advanced"You will find the "Add" button there
I think Win XP will be them but unfortunately in my case I could find it there.
Stephen

Right Click on the Green Start Menu Arrow and select "Explore".
It will open to "Start Menu" and if you are familiar with the old 98 you'll have no trouble here.

Hi Ewen,
Thanks for your response.
I already got the .exe icon on the bottom tooth bar.
What I expect is to add the .exe icon on the first pop-up menu from clicking "Start" in the section on the left housing "Window Updat", "Note Pad", "Outlook Express", etc.
Thanks
Stephen

On the left side of the Sart Menu is a list of recently used programs.
What you want to do is add programs to this list???
This list changes all the time with each new program that you open.
All you can do is increase the size of the list.
Right click a blank area of the TaskBar,
Select Properties,
Click Start Menu tab,
Click Customize... button,
Then increase the value of
"Number of Programs on Start Menu"Then later on in life, if you want to remove a
program from the list, then Right click it in the list and select "Remove from this list".

Stephen... I think I know what you mean. I presume the icon already exists in the Start menu... what I did was to right click it in the Start menu and then send it to the Desktop as a shortcut, then i simply dragged across to the menu.
Is this what you meant?
Regards.
