hi,
can anybody let me know how to access dektop files from command prompt.
i am using windows xp service pack 2thanks

Don't know about command prompt but you have accesss in C:-documents and settings-User name-desktop. There you can drag and drop or copy or delete.

actually hal.dll in missing from my windows xp and i have a copy of this file on my windows desktop that is why i am trying to copy it from my desktop to c:\windows/ system ........
through windows xp recocery consol.
and i cant get in to my windows .

Lots of fixes for hal.dll missing.

hi guys i have resolved the problem , we can do this by using copy command on command prompt and it works no need to expand.
Now i have to resolve problem with my pci.sys file.
I already copy this file from windows cd rom to my hard drive but it still giving me an same error that file is corrupted. moreover, it is also giving me an error that my system memory is decreasing

I am wondering if System File Checker would work
in RC. I do not know. I think you would have direct RC to the file. I guess the command would be---
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sfc.exe \scannow
Note space between e and \
Have XP CD in the drive.
