Ok..the compaq computer I use now is a desktop, not a notebook..and has Windows XP Home edition in it, but I had to create 7 disks for a partition when I bought it from my daughter. My notebook, I had to buy recovery disks for, and I had to buy SP1 to have Photo Impression 4...which was my whole purpose. However the screen now will not work when all the way open, and I was told I cannot zip Arc Soft into a folder and install it on my desktop. I had done that long ago, but never got it INSTALLED on the desktop properly, I did not know how or perhaps it was not possible. Thank you if you happen to know, because I went through a lot to purchase them from HP because they were no longer listed. I also found an Operating CD but it is for a notebook..and I am noyt sure if it was from the original disks which I thought I'd thrown away due to a defect in Disk 3. Thank you, Cathy C.
