I am putting an image of my old HD (18gig, 6 gig full) onto a new HD (80 gig) with the utility that came with the new HD (MaxBlast 3.) How long should this take because it has taken about 2 hours to run thru 8%. I've never done this before so I am trying to figure out if there is a problem or if this is normal?

I would think that it should take less time than that.

Is there a program that is writing/accessing the disk while the program trying to image over?

I think it all depends on the condition of the original HD. Ideally if there is no bad sectors, it would take less time.
