friends i want to make a image of drive c or u can say only image of windows just after when i installing windows and all of my drivers and programs..i just heard about ghost and imaging of windows or imaging of drive c but i dont know how to make it....plz guide me step by step ....i heard that ghost backup took 3 to 4 minutes when it istalled....??

which version of ghost do you have? Ghost 2003, you will have problems imaging to a usb drive, You can image to dvd's Newer versions of ghost should be ok Or use Acronis or Macruim Reflect free UK MP's are thieving scumbags. EU members are worse.

Vmware offers a solution to convert a physical XP pro and up to a virtual state. Not exactly the same as a clone. There are a few ways. Get Ghost, Acronis. Both good products if you know how to use them they are great. See also things like G4U, and partimage and dd and rsync and other tools that can be used for linux.
