How get a combine extension size on a folder

Specs: Windows Vista, Inel Duo Core 2.25 GHz 2GB of rams
Hello everyone,

Does anyone know a program that will scan a folder for various extension and give a summary size base on particular extension?

I been checking around and didn't file anything. If anyone know a way or program it will make my task easier.

I have a drive contain half a terrabytes of documents. Some of these documents are jpg,doc, etc. I'm looking for a program that will scan a folder, give me a list of all the different files extension in the folder, and give me a summary size of the various extension.

From command prompt.

Dir *.ext (ext being the extension you wish to find) Can use /s for sub folders.

From explorer

Use sort by extension, select that group, right click and choose properties.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
