how do you turn on add ons for xp

Specs: Windows XP
it keeps telling me that IE is running with add-ons disable.
when I click on tools-manage add-ons
it tells me that they are all enabled??
so what do I do???

Right-click the shortcut you're using to open Internet Explorer and go to Properties. On the Shortcut tab, check the Target box. It should only list the link to the program itself: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

not any extra attributes like -extoff

If your Target box has extra attributes, remove them so just the link to the program exists. Click OK to save your changes and try opening Internet Explorer via that shortcut again.
