use a winME or 98 bootdisk, run fdisk, then choose the option to delete a non dos partition, then you can either create a fat32 to install ME or 98, or you can just boot off win2000 or winXP if you plan on installing one of those and they'll create the partitions for you
I had a bad install from win xp-home to win xp-pro... Now I'm trying to start over from scratc and reformat c: but when I use the xp recovery option it will not let me delete the win xp partition!! When I try to reformat using a win98 boot disk at the A: dos promt... no matter what I try .... fdisk or "format C" or even format c:/s ... is always tells me - bad command or file name! HELP!! Do I have a bad boot disk or how to I fix this????
