Tim, if you're unhappy with XP, I can most certainly see why. Look at your system specs!
Do as MDK said and use the search at the top of this page. This topic has been covered extensively in other posts.

Then you will need to register the product first. Why didn't you register it?

hmmmmmmm well another option, you have, is to use a format utility, off of a diskette, like MaxBlast, (if your using a Maxtor Hard Drive). Either way, use this to format your hard drive, and then reinstall your OS....course if you don't have an authenticity Code, and disk for this other OS(Win 98 I assume) your going to be out of luck Either way, you will lose all info you have on your comp, so make sure to back-up your information first!!!

Hi
You may have solved the problem already but heres an easy way for you to reinstall you OS.
First get hold of a copy of XP or windows 2000..... Then at the BIOS opt to boot from the CD Rom..... this should then lead to the setup mode.... Wipe the current installation off the hard disk..... as mentioned previously you will lose all the data from you previous install so please backup all important information...
Then reboot with the windows 98 cd rom and just follow the setup........... If your comp came with 98SE and has a recovery disk then use that cos that will contain any drivers that you need for you Motherboard NIC card etc....
