I have XP home and office SE 2000 Pro. How do i uninstall Winblows Internet Explorer? I have already tried to remove it as a "component" and also a manual delete and also uninstalled office. But the f---ing thing is still there!!!
I believe IE6 is intergrated, though a google search may find some enterprising individual who has written software for this purpose....

You cannot Uninstall IE
IF you want to use a different Browser AND you have SP1 Installed THEN you can Disable IE in Program Access and Defaults (Top of Start\All Progs List)

The prior posts are correct! I know, I researched this issue for quite a while. It is an integrated part of XP and the best you can do is disable it after SP1. I don't like that at all,but unless someone does what x86 mentioned(write a safe removal program)we're stuck with it.
Regards, JB.

The idea of removing IE is kind of silly, actually. In XP (and 2000 for that matter), just think of it as another part of the operating system. It's very integrated into XP and performs many essential function. (It just happens to let you browse the web too.)
I know where you're coming from, but if you don't like it you can just use another browser.
