I am currently running windows XP. My computer crashed and the way it was manufactured caused it to recover on its own immediately after the crash. so now the OS end has been restored to factory settings but the user accounts and everything in them are still there. but in order to see the user accounts you have to go to c drive then documents and settings. when you open documents and settings all of the user accounts can be seen and those that are not totally private can be accessed. my problem is that i need to restore these accounts so that they show up on the welcome screen. so can you help me do this please?

a difficult process.

hi
you can also alter your user accounts settings bystart/run
type "control userpasswords2" (without quotes)
and go from there
hope this helps
good luck
