How do I repair a Socket Error 10022 ?

Specs: Windows XP
I use Incredimail that gets email through When I turn the computer on in the morning I recieve all the emails that are new in gmail at that time. After that initial transfer I can no longer send or receive email through incredimail. (I have no problem getting email in gmail). When I try to send or receive through incredimail I get a Socket Error 10022 invalid request. The only way I can correct this is to update incredimail and restart the computer and then it is fine for the rest of the day. However every time I restart the computer I must do that again. This started happening last week and I have been unable to find a solution online. I have CCleaner, Tune-Up Utilities, and Advanced SystemCare Professional and have ran all of them and cannot resolve the issue. I see more programs like these on line that say they can solve this issue but I really think there must be another solution. Can you offer any advice?
Thank You for reading this.

Download this newest version of Incredimail (Do not uninstall your existing version as this new version goes right over what you already have)

After it is downloaded do the following steps….

1. Open IncrediMail.

2. Click the ‘Tools’ menu and select the ‘Accounts’ option.

3. In the window that opens, select your Gmail Account and click the ‘Properties’ button.

4. In the ‘Advanced’ tab of your account properties make sure the following are correct.

‘Outgoing Mail (SMTP)’ field is 465
Check the ‘This server requires a secure connection (SSL)’ checkbox below the ‘Outgoing Mail (SMTP)’ field.
Make sure the port in the ‘Incoming Mail (POP3)’ field is 995.
Make sure the ‘This server requires a secure connection (SSL)’ checkbox below the ‘Outgoing Mail (SMTP)’ field is checked.
