Actually I already have the DVD, even the .NRG file (Nero File) but it can only be read by Nero itself. I need to create a .ISO to use it with Oracle Virtual Box. Any software or tricks. I already tried to change the extension to .iso but the file get corrupted by doing that.

I have Nero 6.0

When you rip the DVD with Nero, you should have an option to save as .ISO, instead of .NRG.

Copy the data/video to the hard drive then follow this:

1. Open Nero as follows:
Start > All Programs > Nero 8 Essentials > Data > Nero Express Essentials

2. Click on "Data DVD" or "Data CD"

3. Click "Add"

4. Select the file(s) or folder you wish to make an ISO image from

5. Click "Add"

6. Click "Close"

7. Click "Next"

8. Set Current recorder: Image Recorder[DVD]

9. Click "Burn"

10. Enter a filename and specify ISO as the file type.

11. Click "Save"

12. Click "Burn"

I'd double click on the nrg file and let it create a dvd.

After you get the dvd then simply use the VM to boot from the real cd. You don't need an image. If you have like a usb dvd drive then you may have to attach the usb at boot to get it to boot. May have to then boot to the bios of VM and set cd as first boot.

Worse comes to worse. Take the dvd and then create an ISO from it. Many free tools to do that.

Or simply convert the nrg to iso with a tool. http://www.weethet.nl/english/cdrw_...
