Hey there, I need to make a boot disk for my satellite card loader and don't have a clue how. I need to make one that will allow me to start up win dos and then choose one of five programs to run. Can anyone help me STEP BY STEP, make one? Thanks for your help!
open My Computer, put a BLANK floppy in the A: drive, right click on the A: drive icon in My Computer, click format, then check the box that says "create an MS-DOS bootable floppy" and click OK!
Let us know if this was what you wanted please!

Ok, i did what you said matt, no i start up in dos and it says a:\ . What do i do to be able to open a program through dos? Dos is the only way I can "Flash" my satellite card loader. Thanks for your help!
If you have a floppy that will boot to the a: prompt you are halway there. Just copy the program, that you want to run, to the floppy. Boot from the floppy and at the a: prompt type the name of the program to run it.

Walt, I tried that but it says bad command name. I typed dir to get all the file names to make sure it was correct and it was. It is a .xvb type file and i'm not sure if i need to make it into a .exe somehow. Any clue? Thanks!

You may beed a flash utility program to run the update *.xvb file.
Flashing the Bios is VERY dangerous!!! Read the instructions several times and make sure that you know what you are doing. You can turn your computer into a boat anchor if anything goes wrong. It might be a good idea to take it to a technician.

Walt... this is exactly what I said and I got an insult in return. If the poster is having difficulty navigating through DOS (quote "Anyways, matt, how do i get the c:\ prompt? I can't get past a:\.)" then he is asking for trouble with a capital T. Forget it Dodgeee and get a pro to do it!
