Specs: Windows XP, 500mb
I am trying to do an upgrade from win xp enbedded to full win xp professional. Didn't know there was Pro <Magic plus not it's manager mode and it wants a password that noone has at their office. It's a point of sale and I am stuck, it won't let me cancel the upgrade or finish the upgrade without the password.

It appears the Pro Magic plus is a backup/ imaging program.

Consult the help files for the program to learn haw to disable.

I can't get beyond the manager mode to be able to cancel or go on. No it's like in a loop. The only other thing I am thinking of doing is taking out the hard drive and copy everything elsewhere then format the hard drive and then put it back.

That would be the safest method if you need to preserve data on the drive.

Installing the full version of WinXP will wipe out any existing data.

Are you sure you can install a full version. Where did you get the idea you have an embedded version of WinXP? Do you mean a pre-installed OEM version?

If this is not a computer you should probably speak with the vendor of the POS unit.

It is POS touch screen and it came with xp embedded. It doesn't come with all the features that xp pro come with. The have to do their accounting using office 2007 on the same machine.

So, you can't run MicroSoft Office on the embedded version then?
