i tryd to have the sound on but i cant it wont let me and i dont know how to make it work can some one help me?

GlassLove, start>settings>control panel>sounds and audio devices>volume tab. Be sure the correct sound card is listed as default. Under 'volume', make sure nothing's muted. You can set the various registers the way you like.
BTW, if you're unsure which sound card you have, switch to classic view then start>programs>accessories>system tools>system information for a list.

You need to go into control panel and look for 'sound', open that panel, you should show a number of virtual volume controls. Make sure that all of them (except for mike) are at 50% or higher, and that none of them are at or near zero. ((sometimes you might have a small speaker icon lower right near your clock, that will work also if you have it)) For reasons I do not know, in XP, the virtual volumes sometimes reset themselves, often that turns off the available sound to the speakers.
ok, thank you guys sooo much oh and we dont have a sound card so i dont know if i sound without a sound card? GlassLove
