How do i get a copy of a CD Driver off my XP

Please i have a slight dilemma... it seems that somewhere along the line my CD driver is corrupted... when i roll back my machine it is there... but i have other issues that make the machine unstable and with these sorted and the machine rolled forward the CD does not work and shows a ! in the device manager and says the driver is missing??? how can i copy and load the driver in the new system point... if that makes sense please help!!!!

Go to Device Manaager and delete the CD drive from the Device list. Get rid of it entirley.

RE-boot the computer and the Operating System will rediscover the CD drive and automatically install the correect drivers.
