Be aware that each dbx file represents an email box, such as Inbox, Sent Items, Outbox and so forth, rather than individual emails (eml). It is possible to manually copy them over provided you ensure the name is identical. However if you already have emails existing in a particular box it will replace everything with that inside the copied one. You might well prefer to use the already suggested program - just explaining that's all.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

✔ Best Answer
1. Click on the Start button > click on Control Panel. Click on Appearance and Themes, and then click on Folder Options.

2. The Folder Options window will appear. Click on the View tab. Under Hidden files and folders, check Show files, folders, and drives.

3. Now you need to locate the folder, named Outlook Express. As you are using Windows XP, the folder is located in this location by default:

C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{your Windows user identity number}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

4. Once you have located the folder, copy it to the system having Windows Vista, 7 or 8. Read this article to know how to copy files and folders to another computer.
