Hi all.
My original PC setup came with 2 USB 1.1 outlets, These I use for my HP Printer and the other for my PDA Active Sync connection.
Since then I have installed a USB 2 card with 4 outlets.
Three of these I use for various attachments, one of them is to my modem the others I can't remember to where.
One of these USB 2 outlets has a short USB 2 cable attached and fed to the front of the tower so that I can access it if and when required, mainly for use with a USB stick. I have 3 of these and they are all different brands and sizes, but they are all USB 2, also a USB 2, four outlet hub.
Now we are getting to my question.
On occasions when I plug in one of the sticks or the hub, I get a message saying that I am connected to a USB ONE port and the item would work better if I connected to a USB 2 port which I am told are available.
So how do I change to another port, in this case a USB 2 port?
Incidentally, I used the installation CD on every USB 2 device that I am currently using.

For some reason (It may be known to others)Even tho a port is USB 2 if it is wired (Usually the front ports)to the MOBO VS being Built in (as the rear ports) it will give you that message, whether it is actually 1.1 speed or 2.0 speed,, I don't have a clue.

Thaks birdlegs.
I am thinking along the same lines.
