Yep, you cannot change to or from the C: drive, if that's where the Operating System (XP) is, as max00 said. But it concerns usual Windows drive management feature: you may change system drive letter using any third-party software like Disk Director for example. But it’s a risky operation and it’s strongly recommended to back up the data on the system partition before letter changing.
