How do I change default .cda to .mp3?

January 8, 2011 at 07:44:59
Specs: Windows XP
I'm trying to load some music CD's to my hard drive and all I see are .cda files? How do I change the default to .mp3 or .wma when I insert a CD? Roxio doesn't reconize anything and windows just show the file as .cda which is useless. Thanks in advance.

You need to "rip" the tunes from the audio CD's. CD-ripping software will enable the tunes to be saved in several different formats, usually including MP3, OGG, and WAV. I use "Deep Ripper" which is freeware.
