Go to Windows XP web site and download Powertoys and it'll let you do that.

1. click on "Start" - then click on "Run" - type:- control userpasswords2 2. click OK 3. On the Users tab, clear the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" check box. 4. A dialog will appear that asks you what user name and password should be used to logon automatically, just click "OK".
Also to get rid of the unnecessary “Windows Welcome” screen go to Control Panel / User Accounts, and click “Change the way users log on or off”, and untick both “Use the Welcome Screen” and “Use Fast User Switching” and Apply. Then your all set.

You just don't get it, I don't want to see the old 2k logon either! I just want bootup and Windows, nothing in between. You don't think I haven't try those steps that you're referring to?

Lighten up Art, Dirk was only trying to help. Since you've already done everything that he suggested, why not set yourself up for a headache and go to belchfire.com.? For pete's sake, if the logo bothers you that much, go get a drink while the system boots. But then again, I'm out of line, because after all... you're the administrator, damn it!

No s--- he was just trying to help. There isn't any need to get all bent out of shape whenever someone offers you help. After all you asked for it to begin with didn't you.
