hi i tryed to reinsatll xp and get this msge <window root>\system32\hal.dll. now ive read all through the theads and it says to boot from disc.now my problem is when i turn the pc on it ask me what operating system i want.when i hit enter i get the obove message,and the pc then restarts.... now i cant seam to get it past this.any help would be So helpfull from this pc noob

wow mate thanks for all that.my pc is a fujitsu siemens scaleoc772,all i can get my pc to do is to go to the winodws advanced menu, but i can do nowt in safe mode or anything to be honest,any more help would be very appreciated.thanks again
