How do I back up XP on to a CDROM?

I have tried backing up my copy of XP pro on to a CDR and it will not read the origonal disk. I have done this under win98 and used nero, gear and adaptec can anyone help

CLONE CD by elaborate bytes is probably THE best copying software EVER created...lol maybey.....anyways use that cos u can copy almost any CD with it :)

I've just backed up my Windows XP Pro last night using Nero under Windows 98. . .worked fine . .

the way I did it ,was to copy/paste each folder off of the winxp cd, into a new folder named winxp. then create a data cd using ezcd and copy the contents of the winxp folder. I opened d:\winxp and added all folders & files to the project. this way I avoided the copy failure of controls.man ,which when trying to copy cd to cd ,comes out all zeroes.
