Solved How can I set the KM media player to play VCD

October 25, 2011 at 06:56:11
Specs: Windows XP, SDVD-RAM
I have a Acer Media Center Edition running Windows XP with S-DVD player (Philips). I installed KMPLayer already. But I cannot play my VCD movie after I put the VCD in S-DVD player.
My S-DVD player ran out the region code resets. Will it influence me to play a VCD disc?
Please respond with any suggestions.Thank You.

VCD's are not region-coded so running out of code changes won't affect those at all.
Region-codes only apply to commercial DVD-movies.

KMPlayer can play VCD, so all I can think of is that your Philip's DVD drive (or player whatever it is), cannot read discs containing VCD data. Most standalone DVD Players that sit under a TV (for example) can play VCD, but many computer DVD drives can't.
