how can i connect my c e fc notebook to the internet? everything is locked up. Nothing works for ethernet or wifi.
It is not a Hewlett- Packard. I don't know what it is, but it is new.

If it is new then one would presume it is covered by some kind of warranty. Since you do not appear to know even the make or model of the thing, and have not returned it to the place of purchase you can probably work out what I may be thinking about your means of acquisition of the unit. You cannot format it because presumably the operating system is running at the time and it will not self-destruct by allowing a format. Without identifying the exact make/model we cannot even point you at any online user manual or manufacturer's technical support site. There may be a "Factory Reset" process you can implement but without a user manual how will you work it out? Goin' Fishin' (Some day)
