How can I work as administrator while being log as user?
something like using command prompt and being able to run a win32 program as administrator from the console. In linux I can be log as user in X11 and open a terminal "comnand prompt" and log as administrator while being a user and install software but I don't know how to do this in windows XP.
Oh What's the idea of having to log as administrator and connect to M$ update site that's putting my PC in danger I'm I right?

You could run any program as another user by right click on it and choose "run as".

You have to have Admin rights to install programs and updates. How safe would it be if anyone could install any file they want?? Xp is built on a business OS and this adds to security.
