How can I acces win XP's from win98

I've 3 pc in my office. Different type of o/s installed in pc's like win98, winxp and win2000. If i try to access win xp from win98, it said no permission to access resources and if i try to access winxp from win 2000 pc then it's asking for a password but i not giving password of c drive sharing. I can access winxp from win98 and win2000 pc. I able to ping winxp pc from win98 pc and i can access win98 pc from winxp pc. I have same class ip or same workgroup in my office. Please help me

Please I need a full explanation on how to configuration win98 and win2000 to access winxp please Bukola

I guess it's due to XP file system, If it's NTFS, Win 98 cannot access it. If it's FAT32, there should be no problem.

Sorry for the correction XpUser but on a network. file systems are transparent. Doesn't matter if fat or ntfs when accessing via a network. File systems only come into play locally like in a multiboot config.

durodola make the same account name with same password [everything exactly the same] on all three machines.
Disable the XP windows firewall for now as it tends to block network access until properly configured. You can get to that later.
Share something on each pc with no restictions. no passwords or limits. We just want to get all three networked and working then you can refine security.

Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

On your XP machine have you run the network setup wizard and set up file )and printer) sharing?

After that did you share out folders from your drives as required?

How did you set the workgroup in XP? Was it during install or was it by running the network set up wizard?
