Hey everyone...I've got a big problem.
I just got a new notebook computer has been working great...until now. I installed Office 2003 because I like to access my hotmail account thru Outlook. I configured Outlook 2003 with my account information and when I open Outlook now it will hang on the splash screen for about two minutes until it tells me that it could not connect to the server. I thought I configured something wrong but I didn't feel like checking right then so I opened internet explorer and went to hotmail.com. I put in my email address and password and hit sign in. It waited about 15 seconds to tell me that Page cannot be displayed. So it wasn't something in Outlook configured wrong, I just can't access the hotmail server from this computer. I have tried going thru FireFox but the same thing happens. It's not hotmail fault because I can access it on my other computer that is sharing an internet connection with this computer. I can also access other websites that are encrypted on this computer and that use .net passports. It just seems to be hotmail that I can't access on this computer. Any suggestions??
Thanks.

Is your hotmail the Free one or Paid one?
If your's is the Free version, you cannot access Hotmail via OL.
Check Hotmail Free and Paid

If Free hotmail is what yo have, uninstall the setup you have made in OL200e, and then try again in the problem PC from IE and FireFox.

I have the paid hotmail but you say that you can't access the free hotmail from OL. That's where your wrong. I used to have free hotmail and before I upgraded about a year ago I always went thru OL.

A friend told me he can sign in to hotmail but the next page says page cannot be displayed, it has been doing it for 2 days now, also does not work on other computers.
His wife and kids can access their accounts without any dramas, so why only 1 account having trouble.
